Creating a smart alert

Creating a smart alert (Talli Premium feature)

Smart alerts send push notifications to users after a specified amount of time has passed since either the beginning or end of the previous event. For example, if you would like a reminder to give your child a bottle 3 hours after the last feeding, you can set a smart alert for 3 hours after the bottle event was started.

Smart alerts is a Talli premium feature. Learn more about Talli Premium here.

In the app:

  1. On the Home screen, tap into the event that you’d like to set an alert, then tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of the Event screen.

  2. Tap on the Set a Smart Alert menu option, then tap on the Set a new alert button at the top of the screen

  3. On the Smart Alert screen, you have the following options:

    1. A toggle switch with the label Smart Alert turns the alert on and off - you may want to turn a smart alert off at night or when another caregiver is watching your child

    2. An hour and minutes field for you to specify how long after the event you would want to receive a notification

    3. A toggle switch for calculating the reminder time from the beginning or end of an event - you may want a notification after a certain event ends (e.g., a sleep timer for a nap if you’re using wake windows)

  4. You’ll see a push notification preview at the bottom of the Smart Alert screen - tap Save to schedule the alert.
