Pairing a device
Pairing a device
Steps to pair the device
In the app:
Tap on the More tab at the bottom of the app
Tap on the Devices button in the top middle of the More screen
Tap the Add Device button
If you have more than one child in the app, select the correct child from the drop down menu at the top.
Give the device a nickname, if needed (e.g., “Downstairs” or “Changing Table”)
Tap on the copy icon to copy the pairing code for your device
On the device:
Either plug your device in via micro-USB or put in 4 AA batteries to power the device on
Press and hold down the Wifi Sync button in the bottom-left corner of the device for 8 seconds - the 8 large buttons should flash twice to indicate the device has entered pairing mode. The Wifi Sync button will glow amber while in pairing mode
On your mobile device:
Go to your WiFi network settings on your device and join the Talli wifi network. Your mobile device may tell you that the network does not have internet - ensure you select the option to continue connecting to the network (e.g., select the option that says “Use without internet”).
On iOS devices and some Android devices, within 15 seconds of joining the Talli network, a webpage should appear asking for your wireless network credentials and the pairing code. If the webpage does not open automatically, open a web browser and navigate to the following address: 192.168.4.1
Either select your wireless network name from the list provided or type the network name in, then the network password, then finally the pairing code you copied from the app. Once you submit that info to the device, the device will exit pairing mode and attempt to connect to your network. If the connection is successful, the Wifi Sync button will blink green a few times.
In the app:
If your Wifi Sync button blinked green, your mobile device should have reconnected to your home network - open the Talli Baby app back up and you should see that the Device Details screen updated and now shows a connected device.
Troubleshooting
After entering your network credentials and pairing code into the webpage (as mentioned above), your device should attempt to connect to the network and connect with Talli’s platform. Occasionally, the device encounters an issue and will provide an error code in the form of the WiFi Sync button flashing either orange or red and certain event buttons flashing.
